Welcome from the Course Director, Philip Meaden

The NLMS Music Summer School is now in its 31st year. Born of the vision of its founder, the conductor Terence Lovett, it aims to encourage friendship through music-making. Each year we welcome over a hundred enthusiastic adult amateur musicians for a week of enjoyment.

Many members are regular attenders, and have made strong friendships through the summer school; each year we welcome new members. Numerous rehearsals, concerts, and other events are scheduled, but the careful timetabling allows plenty of free time for those who want it. Thus you can meet old friends and make new friends, while immersing yourself in music for a week.

Whether you are an existing member, or new to the Society, you will be assured of a warm welcome and well organised service from the dedicated staff. I hope that we shall see you at Queenswood for our 2012 course.
