Symphony Orchestra
Principal Conductor:  Keith Stent

This course is intended for instrumentalists of a standard equivalent to Grade 8 or higher but applications are considered from string players of a slightly lower standard who have good orchestral experience.

Places for wind and brass are strictly limited and early application is recommended.

2010 repertoire will include:

  • Copland: 2 movements from Rodeo
  • Lalo: Norwegian Rhapsody
  • Rimsky Korsakov: Scheherazade
  • Rouhani: Bridge
  • Tippett: Suite in D (for the birthday of Prince Charles)

The string ensemble will be conducted by Philip Meaden.
