Second Wind
Course Tutor: Lesley Pocknall

The course is intended for woodwind players of approximately grade 3-5 standard who wish to gain experience of playing in an ensemble, possibly for the first time. Rehearsals will be relaxed and supportive, and will seek to extend reading, fluency and ensemble skills.

Repertoire will be chosen carefully to accommodate a range of abilities and interests, and members are asked to take particular care to specify on the application form the instruments that they wish to play, with transpositions, (e.g. clarinet in B flat). The group will perform a selection of the week’s repertoire in the ensembles concert.
