Each member of the summer school will have the opportunity to arrange ad hoc ensembles and chamber music groups during the week.
In addition there will be a wide range of open sessions, which, in 2019, will include baroque sessions for wind and strings, a woodwind ensemble, an open strings session, an evening of light music, an open choir session, and more.
Open Opera, which we successfully inaugurated in 2018, will feature Pietro Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana”. Members will have the chance to join the opera chorus and work alongside professional singers and instrumentalists to experience this wonderful music.
Our regular open choir session on the very first evening – a chance for everyone to sing together and meet friends new and old – will this year feature the Gloria by John Rutter, accompanied by brass ensemble, organ and percussion.
